Baby Shower

This is a card I made for a friends Baby Shower. As you may be able to tell she is expecting a little girl. I was so pleased when she told me that she was doing the nursery with an owl theme. I love the owl punch so it was a perfect opportunity to use it again. The umbrella is from the Res de Fluers stamp set. The colours used are Whispre White, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo.

Happy Mother's Day

This year I wanted to make something special for Mother's Day. Mum came up recently for Master 8's birthday and was such a help to me during her visit. It was also wonderful to just be able to catch up, as she is a 3 day drive away. I hope you have a wonderful day mum, wish we could be there with you. I had seen a cascading card before and wanted to see what I could do. Once I worked it all out it was easy to put together. The hardest thing was getting the embellishments right. I didn't want to go overboard.

Ingredients
Card; Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral,
Everyday Enchantment DSP
Boho Blossoms Punch, Bird Builder Punch
Beautiful Wings Embosslits
Window Sheets
Rhinestones
Dazzling Diamonds
Adhesive sheets

The letters were cut with my cricut. I used the paper lace cartridge.

Wonderful You

As soon as I saw this card I knew I had to case it. Mine is a bit different but I still love the original that the talented Ann Schach created. Apothecary Art would have to be one of my favourite stamp sets at the moment. I haven't stamped the middle yet as I'll wait until I need it. I wanted to use one of my other cards last week for Mothers Day but had already decorated the inside for a birthday.

Ingredients
Card; Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Pretty In Pink
Stamps; Apothecary Art, Loving Thoughts
Ink; Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Big Shop; Framelits Labels Collection, Beautiful Wings
Markers; Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery
Ribbon; soft suede (now retired)
Pearls, Dimensioals

Everyday Enchantment

Everyday Enchantment DSP. I loved these papers. Unfortunately they are now gone as they were only here for the latest sale-a-bration, but I'm sure you will be seeing more from me as I still have 4 unopened packs.

Fifth Avenue

I was making some cards with a freind using the rose from the fifth avenue floral set. After helping to colour and cut all her roses I put my card aside to finish another time because I was over it by then. Not that I mind helping her beacause she is a great friend and we don't get top see each other nearly enough. It wasn't until the next day when I was trying to find my table again that I found some lillies that were coloured, cut and already covered in crystal effects.

Ingredients
Stamps; Fifth Avenue Floral, Bliss, Well Scripted
Card; Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso
Ink; Blushing Bride, Espresso, Basic Black, So Saffron
Blender Pen
Crystal Effects, ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, rhinstone buckel

Wedding

Mum recently went to a wedding for a family friend so I wanted to make a special card. I had seen a beautiful card done with whisper white and handmade flowers. But of course mine didn't look like I it was supposed to so with same adjustments I came up with this. I wasn't 100% happy with it but it still looked ok. The picture below is the inside of the card. I embodded the rose with gold powder. I also stamped and embossed the envelope.

My Dear Friend

Hello Loyal followers, that is if I have any left after my very long absense. I really don't have an excuse for not blogging, just laziness really. Hopefully this time I will hang around for a whiole. Like normal, even though I have been absent from blogging, I have still have been doing some creating. This is one card that I made over a year ago. I can't remember all the colours or stamps that I used but I am going to make some more using lots of different colour combinations. I will use my colour coach for some great ideas.

Mother's Day

I started making this cards early last year. I got so far into it, then put it into my "I'll finish it tomorrow box", that I rarely go back into. A friend came over to make Mother's day cards so I pulled this out and started creating. Her main reason was that she found my stash of already stamped, cut and shaped flowers. I have seen this on lots of blogs so I really don't know who to give credit.
Card - whisper white, kiwi kiss, yo yo yellow
Stamps - inspired by nature, vintage vogue, occassional greetings, asian artistry
Punch - modern label extra large
basic rhinestones, ribbon

Mother's Day

After looking through many blogs I have found some wonderful ideas. One of the great techniques cropping up lately in Embedded Embossing. Its great fun and I can't wait to do more. One card that I love is once again, cased by Teneale. Where does she get her ideas from.
This is the card I made for my mum.
I would love to be with her for Mother's Day, but I'm in Qld and she's in Vic so it's a bit far to go for the day

Card - Soft suede, perfect plum, pretty in pink, whisper white
Ink - soft suede, perfect plum, pretty in pink
Stamp set - Bliss
Punch - scallop edge
soft suede ribbon, brad, basic rhinestones, big shot, square lattice embossing folder, big shot multi purpose adhesive sheets

Cowboy Quilt

My son desperatly wanted a cowboy quilt after flicking through one of my many books one day. The one he wanted had a matching pillow with a horse patchworked out of many tiny little squares. Thankfully he has forgotten about that, seen as it took me a very long time to get it all finished. My least favourite job with quilting is hand stitching the binding on. Thankfully mum came up the the christmas holidays and did this for me. Yeah. Thanks Mum

I'M BACK

I have finally returned. I am constantly reminded that I haven't blogged for over a year, so I thought I would give it a go again. So much has changed for me since I was last here. The first change is that I am now a Stampin up consultant. I have used these product for years and just love them. Everything coordinates and the stamp designs are to die for.

The other major change in my life is the big move. This has been going to happen for a long time, as I'm sure my friends can remember. It was all I talked about for a long time, this been that if no one knew it was too easy for my husband to change his mind. We finally bought our house a year ago, then took 9 months to very very slowly move our many many belongings. This was supposed to have been the easy option as it was only 4 hours away, but thankfully hubby thinks that we should get removalists in next time. Yeah!!!

I finally have my new craft room up and running. I have the double garage, but still wish it was bigger. I think that I will always feel that way because my craft gets spread out further and further. I will take photos soon and post them. Any layout suggestions are welcome as I'm still not happy with the layout.

I have been card making recently, but most of my creations are cased as I'm just not feeling very creative at the moment. I would like to thank everyone for posting their creations as this is inspiring me.

For my Dad's 60th Birthday he got tickets for a hot air balloon ride. So of course I had to match it with this stamp. I cased this card from the talented Teneale Williams. You may notice the colour combination. I wonder what my favourite colour combo was last year. Unfortunatly the photo quality was not very good, my camera died soon after.

My son was invited to a party for yesterday and I was so excited to find out he was having a spider cake. I had just found this design on Deann Oliver's blog. It was first time to use the sweet treat cups from SU and I love them.
