My son desperatly wanted a cowboy quilt after flicking through one of my many books one day. The one he wanted had a matching pillow with a horse patchworked out of many tiny little squares. 
Thankfully he has forgotten about that, seen as it took me a very long time to get it all finished. My least favourite job with quilting is hand stitching the binding on. Thankfully mum came up the the christmas holidays and did this for me. Yeah. Thanks Mum
